Governors
Victoria Road Academy has 5 Local Academy Governors who meet once per term to address the delegated functions of the Trustee Board (Aspire Educational Trust). The governors meet regularly as a complete body to deal with a wide variety of school business. They provide strategic leadership, ensuring the school has a clear vision, strong accountability and effective use of resources. They work as a team to support and challenge school leaders so that every pupil receives the best possible education.
The Local Academy Committee (LAC) includes a mix of Staff, Parents and Co-opted governors who are independent. The Head of School also sits on the LAC as ex-officio member. The Board are supported by a Governance Professional employed by the Trust and the Executive Head and Assistant CEO regularly attend meetings to provide information, support and assistance as required.
